NFL Names & Faces: Flacco Stars In First Mariner Bank Ad, Mariota Featured For Subway

In Baltimore, Jonathan Munshaw reported Ravens QB Joe Flacco "is continuing his partnership with First Mariner Bank, appearing in a new commercial set to debut Sunday." In a short clip, Flacco is seen "huddling up with First Mariner employees." The full ad "will run during the final commercial slot prior to the start" of the Ravens' 1:00pm ET game Sunday against the Broncos. First Mariner Marketing Dir Erica Starr said that the ad "will continue to run in the final break before games for the rest of the season and will also appear on several channels on Comcast, including CNN, MSNBC, ESPN and Discovery." This is Flacco's "sixth year endorsing First Mariner" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 9/10).

TAKING SIDES: In Denver, Nicki Jhabvala noted Nationwide's “Chicken Parm” jingle from last season with endorser Peyton Manning "was so good Nationwide teamed with the Broncos’ quarterback once again for an ad" that debuted during Thursday night's Steelers-Patriots game on NBC and will run throughout the season. Jhabvala: "Same tune. Different words. Although the famous chicken parm makes a cameo at the end." Nationwide "will refresh the latest ad with new Manning 'Jingle' moments throughout the season" (DENVERPOST.com, 9/10).

FRESH NEW ADS
