Rice Univ. Partners With Experience For Firm's Fluid Venue Ticketing Technology

Rice Univ. is working with Atlanta-based tech company Experience to provide more flexibility and ease-of-use for football season-ticket holders. Beginning with its season opener Saturday against Wagner, Rice will employ Experience’s Fluid Venue tech, which will provide ticket holders the option on mobile devices to buy more tickets, upgrade tickets or obtain credit for unused tickets. Experience has been working with several pro teams on Fluid Venue, but Rice is among the first colleges to subscribe. Alabama also uses a version of it. Season-ticket holders at Rice can access their buying and selling options through the school website. When the customers enter their email address associated with the season ticket, they enter the Fluid Venue mobile tech. From there, they can search for seat upgrades, additional tickets closer to their friends and credit for unused tickets so season tickets do not go to waste. Upgrades available for Rice’s home opener include running onto the field with the team, accompanying the captains to midfield for the coin toss and selfies with the Rice mascot. Rice Associate AD/Marketing Jana Woodson said, “Our season-ticket holders now have unprecedented flexibility."
