Bespoke Sports & Entertainment named GMR Marketing Dir of Sports, Entertainment & Logistics THOMAS TAYLOR to the newly created role of VP/Brand Activation. During his 13 years at GMR, Taylor managed activation for brands such as P&G, Lowe's, Chobani, MillerCoors, HBO, Bank of America and Gillette. Taylor, who will be based in Charlotte, previously worked with the Bespoke CEO MIKE BOYKIN and President GREG BUSCH on client programs (Bespoke).

EXECS: The Devils named Diageo North America Senior VP/Marketing DANIEL CHERRY CMO, "becoming the first person to hold that title for the team under owners JOSH HARRIS and DAVID BLITZER." Cherry previously worked as NASL N.Y. Cosmos CMO, as well as for a "number of advertising agencies, including Wieden & Kennedy, where he worked on the Nike and Jordan Brand accounts" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 8/24 issue)....MLS expansion team LAFC named Sporting KC VP/Corporate Partnerships JAMIE GUIN its first Senior VP/Partnerships, the "latest move for the club in building out its staff ahead of its scheduled" debut in '18 (SBJ, 8/24 issue)....CSE VP/Broadcasters & New Media Personalities MATT KRAMER, who "represented a number of high-profile sportswriters and media personalities," has joined CAA and last week began work in the agency's TV division (SBJ, 8/24 issue)....NASL Tampa Bay Rowdies President & GM FARRUKH QURAISHI was "fired" on Friday. Club Owner BILL EDWARDS said, "We didn't agree on much of anything. That was the problem." Quraishi "is a fixture in Tampa Bay soccer," having "played for the original Rowdies" in '75 and having served as MLS Mutiny GM. He was "hired by Edwards in November" (TAMPA BAY TIMES, 8/22)....The Lakers promoted Assistant Dir of Scouting RYAN WEST to Player Personnel Dir (LATIMES.com, 8/23).
