CDI-Owned TwinSpires Signs Multiyear Deal To Become Wagering Partner Of Breeders' Cup

In "another sign that the once chilly relationship between Churchill Downs Inc. and the Breeders' Cup is thawing," CDI's advance deposit wagering platform, TwinSpires.com, "has become the official wagering partner of the Breeders' Cup World Championships and title sponsor" of the $1.5M TwinSpires Breeders' Cup Sprint, according to Jennie Rees of the Louisville COURIER-JOURNAL. Last year's official wagering partner was Xpressbet, part of the Stronach Group properties "that include Santa Anita, site of the Breeders' Cup the past three years." As part of the multiyear agreement, TwinSpires will "receive exposure through a comprehensive package of television, digital and print media benefits, including commercial time on NBC and NBCSN telecasts of Breeders' Cup Challenge series races and during the Breeders' Cup World Championships telecasts." TwinSpires also will be the "presenting partner of the morning line (early odds listed in the program) at the 'Breeders' Cup Post-Position Draw presented by Rood & Riddle' of the 13 Breeders' Cup races on Oct. 26" at Keeneland Race Course (Louisville COURIER-JOURNAL, 8/11).
