Padres To Unveil '16 ASG Logo On Friday; Staff Spends Time In Cincy Shadowing Reds

The Padres on Friday plan to unveil the logo for the ’16 MLB All-Star Game at Petco Park, with the ceremony slated to include MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, COO Tony Petitti, and Senior VP/Special Events Marla Miller. The unveiling, several weeks earlier than usual, was driven in part by the geographic proximity to tonight’s ESPYs in L.A. The Padres had a contingent of about 30 people in Cincinnati this week shadowing the Reds to aid in preparation for next year. “It’s been very enlightening,” said Padres President & CEO Mike Dee. “The basic idea is to take the best of what’s here, and the Reds have done a phenomenal job, and put a San Diego flavor on it."
