CFP Title Game, Women's World Cup Final Drew Strong Female Viewership In '15

It is not a secret that NFL programming dominates viewership among all programming, and that includes the female audience. But looking outside the NFL among events this year to date, data from Nielsen shows ESPN’s Ohio State-Oregon CFP title game ranks as the most-viewed sports telecast among female viewers (11.75 million). The Duke-Wisconsin NCAA Basketball National Championship game on CBS ranks No. 2 with 10.93 million female viewers. Sunday’s U.S.-Japan FIFA Women’s World Cup final ranks No. 5 with 9.73 million female viewers. Both the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes rank among the top 10, but the Preakness ranked No. 21.
