ESPN named The Weather Company GM/AdFX & Analytics VIKRAM SOMAYA to the newly created role of Senior VP & Global Data Officer. He will be responsible for leading ESPN's data strategy, as well as working closely with Disney Media Networks to identify new revenue models and drive key sales strategies. He will be based in N.Y. and report to ESPN President of Global Sales & Marketing ED ERHARDT. Prior to The Weather Company, Somaya was Thomson Reuters VP/Global Operations & Audience (ESPN).
