SB Nation Sees Big Gains In Monthly ComScore Rankings; ESPN Still On Top

SB Nation in May posted its highest position and audience total in monthly comScore rankings for multiplatform digital reach, coming in fifth on the list with a sum of 47.2 million unique visitors. The Vox Media-owned sports portal traditionally has ranked between No. 8 and No. 10 in the monthly rankings, but it elevated in part due to coverage of the NBA and NHL playoffs. The audience last month marked a 64% increase from last May. Meanwhile, ESPN led the category for the 15th consecutive month, but its total of 74.5 million unique visitors fell for the second consecutive month, and the figure is ESPN’s lowest since last May. ESPN maintained its typical category lead in consumption metrics with an average of 92.4 minutes per user during the month, up 23% from April.
