21st Century Fox yesterday officially announced that Chair & CEO RUPERT MURDOCH's two sons would "assume new leadership roles in the company," effective July 1. JAMES MURDOCH will succeed his father as CEO, while LACHLAN MURDOCH will serve as Exec co-Chair. Rupert Murdoch "will stay on" as Exec co-Chair. As part of the changes, CHASE CAREY "will step down" as COO, but "will continue to work" as Exec Vice Chair through June 30, 2016 (N.Y. TIMES, 6/17).

EXECS: The Pac-12 yesterday announced that VP/Marketing HEATHER VAUGHAN will serve in the same position for the Pac-12 Networks as well. Vaughan also will continue in her existing role (Pac-12)....The 49ers promoted Dir of Security DAN CORY to VP/Security, Dir of Legal Affairs HANNAH GORDON to VP/Legal & Gov't Affairs and Dir of Communications BOB LANGE to VP/Communications. The team also promoted MAGGIE CUNEO to Community Relations Senior Coordinator, BRAD DUGAN to Senior Manager of Ticket Operations, and named DEMAR AMACKER CRM Data Analyst, STEPHANIE GABRIEL HR Assistant and RYAN SCARLETT Ticket Operations Specialist (49ers)....The Triple-A Int'l League Toledo Mud Hens announced that President JOE NAPOLI will also become CEO, while ceding his role as GM of the team and its sister hockey club, the ECHL Toledo Walleye. Napoli has served as President of the Mud Hens since '98 and the Walleye since its inception in '09. ERIK IBSEN and NEIL NEUKAM will assume the roles of Exec VP & GM for the Mud Hens and Walleye, respectively. Ibsen has spent 20 years in the Mud Hens front office, including the past 10 years as Assistant GM. Neukam most recently served as Mud Hens Assistant GM/Corporate Partnerships (Mud Hens)....Scout Sports & Entertainment named ANC Sports Dir of Marketing & Business Development MATT VIRTUE Account Exec. The company also named JOSH POSNER, ZACH DECKLER and GREG FITZMAURICE Account Coordinators (SS&E)....N.Y.-based experiential marketing agency Be The Machine named Zoom Media & Marketing Senior Project Managers MAGGIE GOLDSTEIN and LINDSEY SYNALOVSKI partners and PwC Client Strategy Manager JACKIE KALB Senior National Account Exec (Be The Machine).
