STREAM OF THOUGHT: In N.Y., Emily Steel wrote “one area of innovation” where James Murdoch, who is expected to be named 21st Century Fox Chair & CEO, has “focused is online streaming and advertising technologies.” When asked whether he would “consider creating a streaming service for some Fox networks that would not require a traditional cable subscription,” Murdoch “mentioned the possibility of a service that included Fox, FX, Fox Sports, Fox News and National Geographic.” He said such a service would be a “very simple, very compelling offering” (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 6/14).
