Gonna Make You Sweat: Gatorade Launching New Campaign Featuring Sports Experiences

Gatorade today is launching a marketing campaign entitled “Sweat with the Best,” which allows fans to win sports experiences with athletes and teams using access codes found under the caps of specially marked bottles. Beginning today, Broncos QB Peyton Manning, tennis player Serena Williams, Heat G Dwyane Wade, Nationals RF Bryce Harper and NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson will be featured in five TV commercials from TBWA\Chiat\Day, L.A. The sports drink company also will use digital and social media via VML, as well as print advertisements. Gatorade Senior Dir of Consumer Engagement Kenny Mitchell said what sets this campaign apart is the “unprecedented access” to professional sports personalities and organizations. In addition to experiences with the aforementioned athletes, all of whom were featured in digital videos teasing this contest since May 1, fans also can enter for a chance to win dozens of other opportunities. Those include a workout with Texans DE J.J. Watt, a shoot-around with Pacers F Paul George or a skating session with Blackhawks RW Patrick Kane. Pro sports teams participating in the contest include FC Barcelona, the Yankees and the Lakers. The campaign will run through next March.
