NBC, ESPN Take Home Most Sports Emmy Wins; Ernie Johnson Honors Late Stuart Scott

NBC Sports Group and ESPN each won 11 Sports Emmy awards last night, the most among media companies. NBC Sports has now solely held or shared the top spot in the Sports Emmy count for five straight years. ESPN's 11 Emmys tie for the net's most on record. Former ESPN President George Bodenheimer was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. NBC Sports took home seven awards around its coverage of the '14 Sochi Games, the most for any one event. The net's Cris Collinsworth (Sports Event Analyst) and Mike Emrick (Play-by-Play) were repeat winners. Collinsworth now has 16 career Emmys. Fox Sports won eight awards, including its first wins for FS1. Ken Rosenthal also took home his first Emmy (Sports Reporter). HBO also collected three Emmys, including a 12th win for its "Hard Knocks" series since launching in '01, while MLB Network won four awards. TNT's Ernie Johnson won the Emmy for best studio host and handed his award to Taelor and Sydni Scott -- the daughters of late ESPN anchor Stuart Scott (THE DAILY).
