Jeter "has been planning the next phase of his career" since at least '12, "when he fractured his left ankle" during the ALCS. His sister, SHARLEE, is "deeply involved in the side of the imprint that handles children’s books" (N.Y. TIMES, 4/6).

Along with play-by-play for the Giants, Simmons “was at the microphone” for the 49ers (’57-80, ’87-88) and the A’s from ’81-95 (MLB.com, 4/6).
