Local Color: Bucks Add Cream And Blue To Team Branding, Unveil New "M" Logo

The Bucks last night announced a "change in the franchise's color scheme and briefly displayed these three colors on the BMO Harris Bradley Center scoreboard: green, blue and cream," according to Charles Gardner of the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL. Unveiling the new color scheme during halftime of last night's home game against the Bulls, the Bucks "also showed off a new 'M' logo on a baseball cap." Green will "remain the traditional color of the Bucks" as it has been throughout their 47-year history. The Bucks will become the first NBA team "to have cream as an official team color, an homage to Cream City bricks that were used in so many buildings in Milwaukee." Blue has not been part of the Bucks' color scheme in the past but will be introduced "to reflect the importance of the Great Lakes and Lake Michigan to the city." More details of the color change "will be unveiled on April 13" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 4/2).
