Brewers COO Vows To Win Back Harley-Davidson After Miller Park Sponsorship Ends

Harley-Davidson has "ended a multiyear run as a sponsor at Miller Park," but Brewers COO Rick Schlesinger "vows to win back the iconic Milwaukee-based motorcycle brand to the team’s sponsorship lineup," according to Rich Kirchen of the MILWAUKEE BUSINESS JOURNAL. Schlesinger said that the Brewers are "not seeking another motorcycle manufacturer to replace Harley as a Miller Park sponsor." Schlesinger added that he has "charged his sponsorship sales staff with developing another marketing program" to pitch to Harley execs. Schlesinger: "I’m optimistic that we’ll get Harley back. Not for 2015, but we’re never going to stop trying to come up with programs or different elements that appeal to them.” News that Harley-Davidson ended its sponsorship "was included in the Brewers announcement that Associated Bank has assumed sponsorship of the former Harley-Davidson Deck seating area." A Harley-Davidson motorcycle also "delivered' the baseball for the first pitch of every home game" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 3/30).
