NYC FC on Thursday announced that founding sponsor N.Y.-Presbyterian Hospital will place its logo on the MLS club’s training shirts. The logo will appear on player warm-ups for the first time this Sunday at the team’s home debut at Yankee Stadium (NYC FC). NYC FC and the Timbers are the “only 2 teams with separate training/game-day kit sponsors” (TWITTER.com, 3/12). NYC FC also announced the club has agreed to a deal with Grand Hyatt N.Y., which becomes the club's preferred hotel partner for visiting teams (NYC FC).

MINTY FRESH: In Louisville, Bailey Loosemore reports the Old Forester Mint Julep, a ready-to-serve cocktail, "has now been named the 'Official Drink of the Kentucky Derby.'" The drink "will be sold at Churchill Downs -- cutting down on the time it takes to make more than 120,000 of the drinks expected to  be served between Kentucky Oaks and Derby Day" (Louisville COURIER-JOURNAL, 3/13).

KING'S COURT: Burger King on Thursday announced its sponsorship activation around the NCAA men's basketball tournament in its role as official burger of the NCAA and Final Four. The QSR will bring back its Madness Your Way promotion. It also is launching a dedicated TV campaign and on-site activations around the Final Four in Indianapolis. Turner's Kenny Smith and CBS' Seth Davis appear in spots promoting the chain's two-for-$5 sandwiches that began running on Monday (Burger King).
