Falcons Dir Of Security Bob McDonough Resigns After 13 Years With The Franchise

Falcons Dir of Security BOB MCDONOUGH, who had been with the franchise 13 years, resigned some time in the last month. The team has not replaced him yet. McDonough was commonly at Owner ARTHUR BLANK’s side, even carrying his bags at league meetings. His role grew after the MICHAEL VICK dog-fighting scandal in '07, with the team taking a heightened look at player backgrounds. McDonough declined to comment on why he resigned, and the team did not respond to a question about why he had left. McDonough had previously been with the Secret Service, assigned in the '90s to PRESIDENT CLINTON.
