In N.Y., Claire Atkinson cites sources as saying that Jamie Horowitz has been "holding conversations with several sports media outlets, including Fox Sports, about senior positions." Horowitz previously served as ESPN VP/Original Programming & Production before leaving last September to run NBC's "Today" show. While at ESPN, Horowitz is credited with developing such shows as "First Take," "SportsNation" and "Olbermann" (N.Y. POST, 3/5).

LEARNING FROM THEIR MISTAKE
: The CP reported TSN will "no longer air public tweets during live coverage" after the net "accidentally carried an inflammatory post from a viewer" about Maple Leafs F Joffrey Lupul and D Dion Phaneuf's wife, actress Elisha Cuthbert, during Monday's NHL trade deadline show. The network "read an apology on the air Tuesday night" after a lawyer representing Phaneuf, Cuthbert and Lupul "threatened legal action" (CP, 3/4).

MOTLEY CREW
: The Crew have signed a deal with WWCD-FM to broadcast the team's games on the alternative-rock station this season "following expiration of the team's deal" with sports station WZOH-FM. Team execs said that audio for all 34 regular-season contests "will be simulcast from Time Warner Cable SportsChannel's television broadcast." The Crew in the coming days "will make an announcement about its Spanish-language radio broadcast partner," which has been WVKO-FM for four seasons (BIZJOURNALS.com, 3/4).
