Benson Says Saints Will Not Raise Prices, Thanks Fans For Support Over "Difficult" Weeks

Saints Owner Tom Benson in a letter thanked fans for "sticking with the team over the last 'few difficult weeks' and said the Saints will not increase ticket prices this season," according to Nick Underhill of the Baton Rouge ADVOCATE. Benson also wrote that the team "is working to make significant investments to enhance the fan experience at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and that those changes will be announced in the coming weeks." The Saints "have only had one ticket price increase" since '09, when the team "raised prices by $10 or less per game" in '13. Benson concluded the letter by stating that the "'future success, continuity, and stability of the New Orleans Saints and our Pelicans' remain his top priority and that he is eager to pursue another championship season" (Baton Rouge ADVOCATE, 2/22). Benson in the letter wrote, "In order to improve your experience, we will once again be asking you to participate in an online survey this offseason to better guide us in our game experience planning. We want to hear from you on the music you like, fan engagement methods that work (and which ones don't) and what helps you be your absolute loudest for the full 60-minutes. ...  Your participation in this survey is critical to providing you the environment you want so you can be at your best on game day. Most importantly, we want you to have fun and your direct feedback helps us do our best to deliver" (NOLA.com, 2/20).

STATUS QUO: In Nashville, Jim Wyatt reports the Titans are "keeping their season ticket prices the same" in '15, one year after prices were raised for 19% of the seats at LP Field. Invoices "have been mailed out, and season-ticket holders will have the option of paying in installments" (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 2/23).
