BLOOMBERG NEWS' Alex Duff wrote Intel’s sponsorship of the underside of La Liga club FC Barcelona's jerseys "hasn’t had much exposure since the deal was announced" in late '13. A club source said that it is partly because Nike "is having technical difficulties mass producing the logo on replicas" of the jerseys. The source added that all parties "are trying to resolve the situation," but did not say "if the world’s largest chipmaker might renegotiate the deal" (BLOOMBERG NEWS, 2/19).

ALL-ENCOMPASSING?: In Chicago, Teddy Greenstein notes Encompass Insurance will "bow out as title sponsor of Chicago’s Champions Tour event" after '15, but tour officials are "confident the tournament will survive under new sponsorship." Champions Tour President Greg McLaughlin said, "We are in discussions now with other potential title sponsors" (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 2/20).

SERVES & VOLLEYS: The ATP BB&T Atlanta Open inked Prince Global Sports to a three-year deal making the tennis equipment brand the presenting sponsor of the event's Family Zone (BB&T Open)....RumChata, a Caribbean rum with dairy cream, has become a contributing sponsor of the ATP/WTA BNP Paribas Open and will have multiple on-site bars (BNP Paribas Open).

WHEELS & DEALS: Glucose-monitoring company Dexcom is continuing its partnership with NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Ryan Reed, the face of the American Diabetes Association's national diabetes awareness initiative, Drive to Stop Diabetes (Dexcom)....Richard Childress Racing driver Austin Dillon is partnering with hat maker Stetson (RCR).
