NFLPI Forms Partnership In Which Players Can Contribute To Entrepreneur.com

NFL Players Inc., the marketing and licensing arm of the NFLPA, has formed a partnership with Entrepreneur.com, in which former and current players can write stories and contribute content to the website. Players will share their own success stories and experiences of what to do and not to do in business through online postings every Wednesday. The initial list of contributors includes former players Hunter Hillenmeyer, Terrence Holt, Torry Holt, Israel Idonije, Matt Light and Ryan Nece, as well as active players such as free agent QB Mike Kafka and Eagles WR Brad Smith. The terms of the deal, including financial terms, were not disclosed. The players are not getting compensated for contributing content, but the partnership provides them the opportunity to share thought-leadership and build their personal brand awareness with the entrepreneur community, an NFLPI spokesperson said. The stories will all be focused on building a business, as well as professional development. “We are always seeking unique opportunities to display the multidimensional strengths and skills of NFL players,” said NFLPI President Ahmad Nassar. “Our partnership with Entrepreneur.com fits the bill. There is invaluable insight readers can obtain from the players' experiences both on the field and as entrepreneurs. The strategies, ideas and challenges from their hard-won successes can help others improve their game in any business pursuit."
