Orleans Parish Civil Judge KERN REESE yesterday ordered that Saints and Pelicans Owner TOM BENSON "must undergo evaluations by three different doctors to decide whether the 87-year-old billionaire remains competent to control his business empire." Benson will name one doctor; his daughter, RENEE, and her family will name another. Those two doctors "will jointly name a third physician and all will evaluate" Benson. Neither he nor his heirs attended the hearing (NOLA.com, 2/10). Reese "ordered that Benson be examined by March 13" (AP, 2/10).

BEGINNING TO BALANCE: The R&A yesterday named 14 women as members of the previously all-male golf club, designating "seven honorary members and seven full members." The honorary members include PRINCESS ANNE and golfers LAURA DAVIES and ANNIKA SORENSTAM. The full members "will not be named" in keeping with the R&A's "policy of not discussing ordinary members" (GOLFWEEK.com, 2/10).

NOT ONE, NOT TWO...: Wizards G JOHN WALL is profiled in today's edition of the USA TODAY "Talking Your Tech" feature, which notes he has two iPhone 6's and the new BlackBerry Classic that he "hauls with him when he's traveling."
