Crazy 88s: Patrick Kane Had Top-Selling Jersey For '14 At NHL Online Store

Blackhawks RW Patrick Kane had the best-selling jersey on Shop.NHL.com in '14. His No. 88 sweater topped two Stanley Cup-winning captains -- Penguins C Sidney Crosby and Blackhawks C Jonathan Toews. The top five was rounded out by Rangers G Henrik Lundqvist and Capitals RW Alex Ovechkin. The highest-ranking player from the '14 Stanley Cup champion Kings was C Anze Kopitar at No. 10 (THE DAILY). YAHOO SPORTS' Greg Wyshynski noted it likely was "no coincidence that the Blackhawks, Rangers, Penguins, Capitals and Kings all had new sweater designs in 2014 through outdoor game participation or, in the Penguins' case, third jerseys." Kopitar "made the biggest move" from the '13 list, as he jumped eight spots. Kane and Lundqvist "moved up four spots each," while Penguins C Evgeni Malkin jumped three positions (SPORTS.YAHOO.com, 1/5).
