MLB VP/National Sales Chris Marciani Leaving As New Administration Gets Set To Take Over

MLB VP/National Sales CHRIS MARCIANI has quietly exited MLB, in what will likely be the first in a series of departures at MLB HQ under the new administration of Commissioner-elect ROB MANFRED and President of Business & Media BOB BOWMAN. Marciani, who was responsible for new business and managing corporate sponsorship sales, was hired by outgoing Exec VP/Business and MLB Enterprises CEO TIM BROSNAN in August '11. There is no word yet on Marciani's successor, although insiders expect MLBAM Exec VP/Revenue NOAH GARDEN to head both licensing and sponsorship as MLB for the first time moves towards a unified structure for selling digital and traditional rights. Prior to MLB, Marciani held positions as Michael Waltrip Racing VP/Sales & Marketing, NASCAR Senior Account Manager and Bobcats VP/Partnership Marketing.
