Overnight Ratings: CBS Sees Its Best Army-Navy Audience In 15 Years

CBS drew a 4.5 overnight rating for Navy-Army on Saturday, marking the best figure for the football matchup in 15 years. That figure also is up 7% from a 4.2 overnight for the same game last year. ESPN also drew a 0.7 for “College GameDay” on Saturday morning, which aired from the site of the Army-Navy game for the first time.

PITCH & PUTT: Fox drew a 0.6 overnight for its inaugural golf telecast on Saturday afternoon, as it provided coverage of the final day of the Franklin Templeton Shootout. NBC aired coverage of the event last year under a different schedule. The final day of the '13 event drew a 0.5 overnight on Sunday, while Saturday’s coverage last year drew a 0.7. Meanwhile, NBC on Saturday up against Fox’ coverage drew a 0.6 overnight for golf’s PNC Father/Son Challenge.
