Overnight Ratings: ABC Leads College Football; CBS Has Lowest SEC Game Of '14

ABC led all college football windows on Saturday with its 3:30pm ET regionalized telecast, which featured Boston College-Florida State and Wisconsin-Iowa. That window drew a 3.6 overnight rating, which topped ABC’s 3.3 overnight for USC-UCLA in primetime. ESPN’s top game on Saturday was Minnesota’s win over Nebraska in the 12:00pm window (2.0 overnight). ESPN drew a 1.3 overnight for “College GameDay,” which made its first-ever appearance in Cambridge, Mass., for the Yale-Harvard game. Meanwhile, CBS had a weaker matchup for its SEC coverage on Saturday, as the net featured Arkansas’ rout of Ole Miss at 3:30pm. The 1.9 overnight for the game is the net’s lowest SEC rating of the season. That figure also was lower than NBC’s final Notre Dame game of the season, with the net drawing a 2.2 overnight for the matchup against Louisville. Fox on Saturday night drew a 1.4 overnight for Oklahoma State-Baylor.
