Study Shows Cavs' Social Media Presence Has Skyrocketed Since LeBron's Return

The Cavaliers' "social media presence has erupted" since F LeBron James rejoined the team this summer, according to a study cited by Joe Vardon of the Cleveland PLAIN DEALER. Data from the Adobe Digital Index shows that the Cavaliers' social media mentions -- which include Facebook, Twitter, blogs, Instagram, and other mediums -- "increased 37 times in September-October of 2014 compared with the same months last year." Adobe "based its research off of 7 million social media mentions related" to the NBA. The Cavaliers were the NBA's "most-mentioned team on social media; James the most-mentioned player." The Heat, James' former team, "saw its international digital numbers fall by nearly half" since his departure following the NBA Finals. Data showed that traffic to the team's official website has increased 400%; page views are up 300%, unique visitors to the website are up 450% and "clicks on Cavaliers' web videos" are up 2,000% (Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, 11/13).
