NBA's Andrew Lustgarten Leaving League To Become Exec VP At MSG Co.

NBA Senior VP/Global Strategy ANDREW LUSTGARTEN is leaving the league office to work for MSG Co. as Exec VP/Corporate Development & Strategy. He will begin his new job on Nov. 18. Lustgarten, who joined the NBA in '07 as an assistant to former NBA Commissioner DAVID STERN. Prior to joining the NBA, Lustgarten worked as VP/Finance at Cablevision Systems Corp. His late father, MARC LUSTGARTEN, was MSG Co. Chair from '97-99. Andrew Lustgarten, a '14 SportsBusiness Journal Forty Under 40 honoree will report to MSG President & CEO TAD SMITH. "We look forward to having him as a part of our leadership team and are confident that his ability to foster both internal and external growth will prove valuable as we continue to evolve and explore opportunities to strengthen our sports, media and entertainment businesses,” Smith said in a statement. No replacement has yet been named for Lustgarten at the NBA.
