Ryan Sanders Baseball said that all "marquee sponsors" for the annual two-game MLB exhibition series at the Alamodome "have renewed" for '15. In San Antonio, W. Scott Bailey noted supermarket chain H-E-B "is returning for its third year" as title sponsor of the Big League Weekend, while presenting sponsors Budweiser, Ford, Frost Bank, Methodist Hospital, Whataburger and Valero "are also renewing their deals." The games will be played March 20-21, and "participating teams will be announced" tomorrow (BIZJOURNALS.com, 11/10).

SNAP COUNT: In N.Y., Stephen Lorenzo noted when select "unsuspecting customers" last month walked into a Hess gas station in Woodbridge, N.J., looking for a drink, NFL Jets C Nick Mangold "was waiting in the fridge to snap them a Pepsi." There were "several hilarious encounters, as the would-be soda drinkers opened the doors to reveal not a row of soft drinks, but the rear end of the Jets center and a play clock staring them in the face" Mangold "previously teamed up with Pepsi for a Grammy's commercial meant to hype fans for the Super Bowl Halftime Show" (NYDAILYNEWS.com, 11/10).

ICE PATCH: Baltimore-based equipment maker STX yesterday announced that the company "is now selling ice hockey gloves and performance and recreational sticks in U.S. stores." The company said that its new "elite" hockey gloves "are designed to increase performance and comfort." In Baltimore, Lorraine Mirabella noted Sabres LW Matt Moulson, "who has endorsed the STX line, is playing in the new gloves" (BALTIMORESUN.com, 11/10).
