Centerplate's Verros Officially Named Hague's Successor As President & CEO

Centerplate's BOD yesterday officially promoted COO CHRIS VERROS to President & CEO, replacing DES HAGUE. Verros has served as acting President & CEO since Hague's resignation in September. Hague had held the COO role since '10 (Centerplate). In Connecticut, Aaron Pelc notes Hague resigned "following public outcry" over a video where he is seen "kicking and pulling a dog in the elevator of a Vancouver hotel." Verros as COO "was responsible for overseeing the delivery of the company's operations and 45,000 staff members." During his tenure, Centerplate "has achieved unprecedented revenue growth and added more than 75 entertainment venues, stadiums and convention centers to its client roster -- including opening Nashville's Music City Center" (STAMFORD ADVOCATE, 11/5).
