Overnight Ratings: Auburn-Ole Miss Gives ESPN Its Highest-Rated CFB Telecast Of '14

ESPN drew a 3.8 overnight rating for Auburn’s 35-31 win over Ole Miss on Saturday night, marking the cable net’s best college football overnight for this season to date. The game drew a 39.1 local rating in Birmingham, which is the best figure this season to date in the market for a CFB game on ESPN. When final numbers come out later this week, the game could top the audience from last Thursday’s Florida State-Louisville matchup, which is currently the most-viewed CFB game on ESPN this season to date. Meanwhile, CBS earned a 4.0 overnight rating for Saturday's Georgia-Florida game from 3:30-7:00pm ET, up 18% over last year's matchup. Georgia-Florida also was the highest-rated college football game of the day.
