Several 49ers Players Wear Beats Headphones During ESPN Coverage Around "MNF"

Several 49ers players prior to the team's "MNF" game against the Rams, including QB Colin Kaepernick, wore their Beats by Dre headphones. Kaepernick last week was fined $10,000 by the NFL for wearing Beats headphones, but that was during an official post-game press conference. 49ers RB Frank Gore and Kaepernick were shown during ESPN's pregame coverage walking into the stadium wearing Beats headphones, with Kaepernick wearing oversized pink Beats and Gore wearing oversized black Beats. During pregame player warm-ups on the field, Kaepernick was shown wearing a different, smaller set of white Beats, while 49ers TE Vernon Davis was wearing oversized pink ones. Gore was still wearing his black Beats as the players stretched. The pregame coverage on ESPN also featured a taped interview with Kaepernick, who was wearing an oversized set of black Beats around his neck. NFL VP/Communications Brian McCarthy in an e-mail noted players are not fined for wearing non-Bose headphones during stretching or warmups before the official pregame session in uniform. After the game, Kaepernick addressed the media with his pink Beats once again around his neck, but this time with tape covering the Beats logo (THE DAILY).
