In L.A., Melissa Rohlin reported FS Prime Ticket and FS West will "broadcast 72 Clippers regular-season games and six preseason games." Ralph Lawler "will return as play-by-play announcer," and former NBAer Michael Smith "will return as color analyst." Kristina Pink and Kyle Montgomery "will alternate as courtside reporters." Thirty-two Clippers games will be "nationally televised, the highest number in franchise history." The club is "scheduled to appear four times on ABC, nine times on TNT, 10 times on ESPN and nine times on NBA TV." Two preseason games also will be nationally televised (LATIMES.com, 10/2). Meanwhile, the Pelicans on Thursday announced their television and radio broadcast schedule for the '14-15 season with FS New Orleans "showing 77 telecasts" (THEADVOCATE.com, 10/2).

JUST BREATHE: Fox Sports' Tim Brando said his move from CBS has been a "breath of fresh air, hopefully for both." Brando: "I certainly think it has been that way for me. I’m happier than I’ve ever been. It’s the right place at the right time for my career. As much as I love being able to do both and the visibility that came from hosting the 'College Football Today' for 16 years and being at CBS for 18 (years) was tremendous, it was really time for me to jettison, and I’m glad that I found Fox and they found me when I did" (NEWSOK.com, 9/30).
