Players unions for all four major U.S. sports yesterday told the Ohio Supreme Court that a state law "allowing cities to impose 'jock taxes' on visiting professional athletes is unconstitutional and unfair." The unions in a legal brief backed former NFLer HUNTER HILLENMEYER's claim that Cleveland "wrongly charged him municipal income tax for games he played at Browns Stadium." His lawsuit is "still pending in the Ohio Supreme Court" (CLEVELAND.com, 9/24).

FROM THE OWNER'S BOX: CBS President & CEO LES MOONVES said that he is a Patriots fan "partially because of his friendship" with team Owner ROBERT KRAFT, and "the perks that come with knowing the owner." But Moonves added he "became a fan of that team after getting to hang out" with QB TOM BRADY in the team's locker room. Moonves: "It's a pretty cool thing" (HOLLYWOODREPORTER.com, 9/24)....JANA WECKERLY, who is suing Cowboys Owner JERRY JONES for "allegedly groping her in a hotel bathroom," has updated her lawsuit to claim Jones "was paying her hush money" for four years after the alleged '09 incident. The updated lawsuit, filed Monday, claims Jones was "trying to pay off his victim until the five-year statute of limitations expired" (N.Y. POST, 9/25)....Redskins Owner DANIEL SNYDER recently gave $25,000 to Virginia Gov. TERRY MCAULIFFE's Common Good PAC (WASHINGTON TIMES, 9/25).
