U.S. Lacrosse Expected To Break Ground On New Baltimore County HQ In Spring

Maryland-based Rubeling & Associates on Tuesday said that construction on U.S. Lacrosse's new, Baltimore County-based HQ is "expected to start this spring," and added that the facility will feature a "museum and hall of fame complex," according to Natalie Sherman of the Baltimore SUN. U.S. Lacrosse President & CEO Steve Stenersen said that groundbreaking in April "is contingent on raising" about $6M more for the $15M project, "planned to accomodate growth of the organization." He added that the organization "has already raised" about $9M. U.S. Lacrosse "currently leases about 20,000 square feet in two buildings on University Parkway in Baltimore." The three-story, 45,000-square-foot, brick facility "will consolidate operations, with a 275-space parking lot and room for up to 140 employees." The field, which "is to serve as training space for the national team, will have seating for a crowd of 500." The new complex "is expected to be completed" in '16 (Baltimore SUN, 9/24).
