Former Flyers President Peter Luukko Named Philly Sports Holdings Chair

Former Flyers President PETER LUUKKO today was named Chair of Philly Sports Holdings, a privately-owned company that operates Sports Vault and Strategic Sports Marketing. Luukko is an investor in the company, which was created in '12. In his new role, Luukko will help lead the strategic direction of the company and facilitate some corporate partnerships (Philly Sports Holdings). In Philadelphia, John George reports Luukko also will play a "key role in next month's launch" of the Sports Vault Access program. That will provide fans "access to athletes through unique events and meet-and-greet opportunities." Luukko "spent more than 25 years" at Comcast-Spectacor before resigning last year. He was named Pointstreak Sports Technology Exec Chair in February, and "is an investor in that company as well" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 8/5).
