Bucks Name MSG Sports' McDonough CFO While Adding Cook, Promoting Steinmiller

The Bucks yesterday named MSG Sports VP/Accounting PATRICK MCDONOUGH CFO and HNTB VP/Government Relations BOB COOK VP/Business Affairs, while promoting Exec VP/Business Operations JOHN STEINMILLER to the newly created position of Exec VP/Community Affairs & Social Responsibility (Bucks). In Milwaukee, Don Walker notes Steinmiller is entering his 45th year with the team and has "strong connections to a number of Milwaukee business leaders and institutions." The Bucks said that this was the first time the team "had appointed an executive devoted completely to making the team a partner in the Milwaukee community." Steinmiller "sits on a number of boards and organizations and will serve as a link between community leaders" and Bucks co-Owners MARC LASRY and WES EDENS (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 7/29).

TENNESSEE ED: YAHOO SPORTS' Adrian Wojnarowski cites sources as saying that the Grizzlies have "reached agreement" with Raptors Exec VP/Basketball Operations ED STEFANSKI to become Exec VP/Player Personnel. Sources said that Stefanski will "assume a key role in the Grizzlies' player personnel and scouting areas," serving under GM CHRIS WALLACE. In the "aftermath of CEO JASON LEVIEN's firing in Memphis, Stefanski's hiring is important in delivering Wallace and the organization an experienced, accomplished" basketball exec. The addition of Stefanski "promises to help reconstruct the Grizzlies' credibility around the league" (SPORTS.YAHOO.com, 7/29).
