NASCAR on Thursday announced a series of personnel moves within its Digital Media Division. NASCAR Digital Media (NDM) Managing Dir COLIN SMITH assumes responsibility of managing day-to-day operations for the sanctioning body's digital platform. NDM Managing Dir for Digital & Business Operations JOHN MARTIN also will take on additional responsibilities. Meanwhile, NDM promoted BRIAN HERBST to Senior Dir of Content Rights & Partnerships, MIKE SALES to Dir of Design, reporting to Senior Dir of Optimization & Programming TIM CLARK, and DONALD BAAL to Senior Manager of Database Marketing (NASCAR).

EXECS: Homestead-Miami Speedway named former Browns VP/Media Relations NEAL GULKIS Dir of Media Relations (THE DAILY)....Browns Dir of Communications ZAK GILBERT "is resigning from his position." Gilbert joined the team in June '13 after working previously for the Raiders and Packers (CLEVELAND.com, 6/26). Meanwhile, the Browns signed Exec VP BRYAN WIEDMEIER to a contract extension.
