Blues Hire Former Canucks, Nike/Bauer Exec Chris Zimmerman To Lead Business Operations

The Blues yesterday hired CHRIS ZIMMERMAN as President & CEO of Business Operations. Zimmerman, who previously was President of Nike/Bauer Hockey, the Canucks and Easton Sports, will report to Blues Owner TOM STILLMAN. Zimmerman said, "The team has made a lot of progress since the change in ownership. My job is to bring new thinking to the business side and keep the club moving forward." Blues President of Hockey Operations & GM DOUG ARMSTRONG will continue to report directly to Stillman (Christopher Botta, Staff Writer). Zimmerman replaces BRUCE AFFLECK, who was promoted in June '12 to the role of COO, "a title that changed in September" to President of Business Operations. Affleck "will remain with the Blues," taking the new title of Exec VP (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 6/17).
