Vice Launches New Online Sports Channel Focused On Off-Field Activities

Vice has launched an online sports channel that is "less concerned with what happens in the stadium than on the outside of it," according to a YouTube trailer the company released. The channel launches with five shows that cover everything from athletes' off-field activities ("Off Day") to vignettes of rabid fans ("Fanfare"). The channel's other shows feature a Q&A format ("Vice Sports Meets"), a look at retired players ("Athletes After the Fact") and a look at up-and-coming athletes ("The Cusp"). The site will feature 10-12 posts per day. Vice Sports launched today with a sit-down interview featuring Knicks F Carmelo Anthony.
