NLL Sees Lowest Average Attendance Figure For Regular Season Since '03

NLL teams averaged 9,425 fans per game during the ’14 regular season, marking the indoor lacrosse league’s lowest average since ’03. The league again consisted of nine clubs this past season, but switched to a nine-game home schedule. Last season, each team played eight home games. The ’14 figure is down around 2% from last season. The Colorado Mammoth led all teams for the second straight season with 14,706 fans per game, relatively flat compared to ’13. Several of the clubs with lower attendance saw sharp drops this season, including the Minnesota Swarm and Philadelphia Wings. The Vancouver Stealth saw attendance drop 14% compared to the club's average across the border playing in Washington state last season. After seeing attendance drop last season, the Edmonton Rush led all clubs with a 17% jump at the gate (THE DAILY).
