Overnight Ratings: NBCSN Gets Best NHL Overnight On Record With Game 7

NBCSN delivered a 3.2 overnight rating for the Kings’ OT win over the Blackhawks in Game 7 of the NHL Western Conference Finals last night, marking the net’s best overnight for an NHL game on record. The 3.2 overnight passes the 3.1 rating earned by Blackhawks-Bruins Stanley Cup Final Game 3 last year. Game 7 last night also earned a 22.7 local rating in Chicago, marking a record in the market for a Blackhawks’ game on NBCSN.

RACE TIME: Fox yesterday afternoon aired its final NASCAR Sprint Cup Series telecast of the ’14 season. The FedEx 400 from Dover Int’l Speedway earned a 3.3 overnight, down from a 3.5 rating last year. Meanwhile, the Verizon IndyCar Series had its first doubleheader event of the season at Belle Isle. The first race on Saturday afternoon drew a 0.8 overnight on ABC, while Sunday afternoon’s race drew a 0.7.

NOTES: ESPN2 drew a 0.8 overnight for the U.S.-Turkey men’s soccer friendly yesterday afternoon. CBS earned a 2.4 overnight for the final round The Memorial, up from a 2.2 rating for the final round of the PGA Tour event last year.
