Life's A Beach: CBS Sports Network Signs On To Broadcast Seven AVP Events This Year

CBS has renewed its deal with the AVP for one more year. CBS Sports Network agreed to carry seven men's and women's AVP tournaments this year, up from five last year. Sources say no rights fee is associated with the deal. Competition will be streamed on AVP.com and produced by CBS Interactive Media. Chris McGee and Dain Blanton will call the action from the broadcast booth, while Amanda Pflugrad will be a sideline reporter. The season starts June 1 with the St. Petersburg Open and runs through Sept. 19-21 with the AVP Championships at Huntington Beach.
