Final Ratings: Audience For NASCAR All-Star Event Down During First Year On FS1

FS1's broadcast of the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race on Saturday averaged 3.5 million viewers from 8:40-11:21pm ET. In previous years, Speed carried the All-Star Race and the Sprint Showdown on the same night; this year FS1 split the two, carrying the All-Star Race on Saturday and the Sprint Showdown on Friday.  In past years, Speed produced the All-Star Race and Showdown as one 4-hour program.  The All Star Race is the second most-watched telecast in FS1's 9-month history.

STRENGTH IN NUMBERS: The 25 second-round Stanley Cup Playoff games that aired on NBCSN and CNBC averaged 1.5 million viewers, the most-watched second round on cable on record, which dates back to ’94. That number is up 2% from last year’s second round, which averaged 1.4 million viewers over 21 games. NBCSN this year delivered four of its top six most-watched second-round games ever. Through the first two rounds, the playoffs rank as the most-watched all-time on cable.
