Red Sox' Adam Grossman Profiled For Efforts Building Next Generation Of Customers

Red Sox and Fenway Sports Management Senior VP/Marketing & Brand Development ADAM GROSSMAN is profiled by Keith Regan of the BOSTON BUSINESS JOURNAL, who notes Grossman "helps carry out initiatives aimed at attracting younger fans and using mobile technology to enhance the fan experience" at Fenway Park. Grossman said, "That next generation is so important to any business and certainly it is to us." Asked of his top three goals for '14, Grossman replied, "We're launching a multifaceted kids outreach initiative to attract our next generation of fans. Second, we want to continue to enhance the Fenway Park environment so that we combine the traditional and historic with levels of technology and digital integration to give fans the best possible experience. My third goal would be to continue to improve my Portuguese." Grossman said the best business decision he has made was "returning to the Red Sox and Fenway Sports Group." He added, "Leaving the market for another organization was a great experience, but it also made me appreciate even more the unique asset portfolio and environment that JOHN (HENRY), LARRY (LUCCHINO), TOM (WERNER) and SAM (KENNEDY) have created over here at Fenway over the last 12 years." Asked about the toughest business decision he has ever made, Grossman said, "Personnel decisions in general are always the toughest. Here are the Red Sox, we have a young, dynamic and hungry team. We try to have a lot of fun without a lot of runs but at some point if there are challenges and we need to embark on a change, those are always incredibly tough choices" (BOSTON BUSINESS JOURNAL, 4/18 issue).
