New Magazine, Website Focusing On Chicago Football To Debut In April

The Illinois Daily Herald and Shaw Media "are teaming to launch a new magazine and website" called Chicago Football "focusing on all levels of football in the Chicago area," according to Charles Keeshan of the Illinois DAILY HERALD. Chicago Football "will feature the expert analysis" of former Pro Football Weekly Editor & Publisher Hub Arkush, former Pro Football Weekly writer Kevin Fishbain, Daily Herald Bears beat writer Bob LeGere and fantasy football columnist John Dietz. The magazine will debut "in early April, and will highlight" the Bears' preparation for the '14 NFL Draft. While the Bears "will be a focus, the magazine also will cover other NFL stories, as well as local college and prep football programs." In print, Chicago Football "will be a glossy magazine published weekly during the football season, and monthly in the offseason." A companion website, ChicagoFootball.com, "will provide additional content, including more in-depth news and analysis of the Bears, coverage of the NFC North division and all 32 NFL teams, and analysis of local high school and college programs" (DAILYHERALD.com, 3/17).
