CAA Sports has signed Lions DT NDAMUKONG SUH for representation, and CAA NFL player agent JIMMY SEXTON will represent him. Suh had been represented by Relativity Sports, but left the agency in January. There have been reports that Suh would be represented by Roc Nation Sports, which has a partnership with CAA. There has also been speculation that Suh would negotiate his own NFL contract. He is in the final year of his deal with the Lions (Liz Mullen, Staff Writer).

WHAT ABOUT BOB? Warriors GM BOB MYERS was profiled by the S.F. CHRONICLE's Ron Kroichick, who wrote Myers' "emotional investment in the Warriors runs staggeringly deep." He "built a small shrine to the team in his room" as a kid. Myers is "low-key and likable, smart without being smug." Warriors co-Owner JOE LACOB said of Myers, "Bob is willing to defer to me or [co-Owner PETER GUBER and Exec Board member JERRY WEST] with the ego thing. He has strong opinions and he's very analytical, so he's a good fit. I think he's been spectacular" (S.F. CHRONICLE, 3/9).

KEEPING SPORTS WEIRD: Austin's Driskill hotel had big crowds all weekend as SXSW rolled out its first sports track at this year's event. Many of the sports-focused panel sessions were filled, as were SXSports Lounges that were sponsored by NFL Players, Inc. and MVPindex. Octagon sponsored an opening night reception on Friday; Dick's Sporting Goods threw a party last night; and Fox Sports will throw one tonight. Some big sports media attendees included ESPN President JOHN SKIPPER (who is speaking today), NBC Sports Group President of Programming JON MILLER and Fox Soccer Exec VP & GM DAVID NATHANSON (who both spoke Saturday) (John Ourand, Staff Writer). Meanwhile, Serie A club AS Roma President and Raptor Group Chair & Managing Dir JAMES PALLOTTA on Saturday “threw a private dinner” at the Raptor House, his company’s pop-up location at SXSW, with Roc Nation co-Founder JAY BROWN (N.Y. POST, 3/10).

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown.
