Jets Hire ESPN's Ian Lasher As Senior VP; Brian Matthews Hired By NFL

Longtime ESPN marketer IAN LASHER has been hired as Jets Senior VP/Corporate Sponsorships. Lasher will report to team President NEIL GLAT and head the team's sponsorship and media sales. Lasher's 15 years with ESPN include the last seven as VP/Sports Management & Digital Marketing. He was Dir of Corporate Sales at the NHL from '99-'02. Lasher's hiring completes a reshuffling by the team catalyzed by the departure of Senior VP/Business Development MARC RICCIO after 17 years.

Matthews is now responsible for selling
NFL Network and NFL digital inventory
MATTHEWS JOINS NFL: The NFL has hired digital ad sales veteran BRIAN MATTHEWS as its new Senior VP/Media Sales. Matthews is now responsible for selling both NFL Network and NFL digital inventory, reporting to NFL Media COO BRIAN ROLAPP. The move completes a reorganization at the NFL that started last September when Senior VP/Sponsorship & Media Sales JOHN BRODY left the league after Rolapp announced his intention to split the top sponsorship and media sales job into separate positions. Matthews most recently was Senior VP/Sales for NBC News Digital, and prior to that served as NBC Digital Entertainment VP/Sales. He has more than 15 years of sales experience with NBC, the BBC and CNN Digital.
