Tiger Shaw Set To Take Over For Bill Marolt As U.S. Ski & Snowboard CEO

The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Association on Friday announced that TIGER SHAW will take over as CEO of the organization Monday. Shaw replaces longtime CEO BILL MAROLT, who planned to retire after the Sochi Games. USSA hired Shaw as COO last fall. It had been unclear when Marolt would step aside and Shaw would take over, but USSA Chair DEXTER PAINE this week made the date March 3. Marolt, who spent the last 17 years with the USSA, will continue to serve as an advisor to Paine and be a board member of the USOC and Int'l Ski Federation (FIS). Shaw is a two-time Olympic alpine ski team member. In a statement, Paine said, "Bill Marolt is the most successful leader in the long history of the USSA. He not only helped U.S. athletes achieve Olympic success, but built an organization that is strong, stable and poised for the future. ... Tiger Shaw will capitalize on that as he takes command of the most diverse organization in Olympic sport. He has taken great advantage of the last five months to learn and we look forward to his leadership."
