Single-A Daytona Cubs Strike Field Naming-Rights Deal With Local Radiology Company

Florida-based Radiology Associates Imaging on Thursday "struck a five-year deal" with the Single-A Florida State League Daytona Cubs for naming rights to the team's field, according Eileen Zaffiro-Kean of the Daytona Beach NEWS-JOURNAL. The company also will "have its name on several signs" throughout Jackie Robinson Ballpark. The name of the ballpark "hasn't changed" with the deal, only the field's name. Radiology Associates "has five imaging centers in Volusia, Flagler and St. Johns counties." Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Daytona Cubs GM Josh Lawther said that the team will be "receiving annual payments from Radiology Associates over the next five years." The money will "go toward upkeep of the ballpark" (Daytona Beach NEWS-JOURNAL, 2/21).
